SMART TECHNOLOGY

We offer a number of classes on smart technology, using different operating systems. Smartphones, tablets and home technology are all means to make your life easier, more efficient, safer and more social. Our classes teach older adults to safely use programs and applications that help them to connect with each other and enhance their overall quality of life.

COMPUTERS & EMAILING BASICS

Our computer classes touch on a number of subjects including emailing, the internet, security, backing up and accessibility. We teach our students how to safely navigate, store and explore the world of modern technology. All classes are beginner levels and teach basics, we move at a slow pace to ensure everybody is following along, learning and having fun.

CYBERSECURITY

With so many scams out there that prey on unsuspecting older adults, our goal is to teach them what to be aware of and how to identify potential scams. We teach them how to identify suspect emails, all kinds of scams and to protect themselves from hackers and viruses. We also teach our students how to safely manage texts and avoid unwanted spam calls.

SOCIAL MEDIA & APPS

We teach our students how to safely create and navigate their profiles and accounts on popular social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. We also dive into popular applications, what to be aware of and how to benefit from these tools. Our focus is protecting them and teaching them how to interact in a fun and safe manner. We also explore other platforms of interest such as eBay, Pinterest and Twitter or Linkedin.
